Cooperative Feeding Program

Emergency Food Pantry

How does a family qualify to receive food from The Cooperative Feeding Program's Food Pantry?  The answer used to be simple. If a family was hungry, they would get a referral for our help from their counselor, their church, their child's school, a doctor, the 211 crisis line, or some professional in the community who was familiar with the family's struggle to keep up with their bills and to also have money left to afford food.

Those simpler times are long gone. Now, need far exceeds our capacity to "serve all who come in need."  Each day, food supplies and financial means dictate who shall eat and who will be denied help.

With our community's need coming in at double that of our ability to provide, these are the times when American families are truly going hungry.

How can you help?  Food drives, year round, continue to be the best way to keep our shelves stocked with good food choices.  If you take on the food drive challenge, ask for peanut butter, healthy low sugar cereal, shelf stable milk and brown rice.
