LifeNet4Families has been selected as an as an official partner of Payless GivesTM Shoes 4 Kids, an annual giving program from Payless ShoeSource. LifeNet4Families received 125 merchandise certificates from the shoe company, which allows the nonprofit to take their clients shopping for much needed footwear. The core mission of LifeNet4Families' is to empower families and individuals to overcome personal crisis. This is accomplished by feeding hungry bodies, minds and souls through the provision of nutritious food, information, and by referral to our partner agencies. These combined resources work to reduce hunger and poverty.

"The Payless Gives Shoes 4 Kids program helps us to provide our clients with basic need items that many of us might overlook on a daily basis," said Melanie Geddes, CEO of LifeNet4Families. "Having a pair of sneakers or shoes is something our clients are often in need of. Daily needs such as shoes and socks are items that are overlooked when putting food on the table or paying rent becomes difficult. Through this program, we hope to alleviate some of the stress parents feel to meet their children's footwear needs."

This is the seventh year of the Payless Gives Shoes 4 Kids program. Although studies show that properly fitting shoes are important for children's health and development, a striking number of children don't own a pair of shoes that fit. We are working to remedy that here in Broward County, Florida.
